I suppose I do not mind a brisk evening, with the proper attire to protect me from the elements (of say an 85 degree breeze... any colder and it is just about stay indoors weather for me). Don't get me wrong, the fall in North Carolina, where I am originally from, is lovely, breathtaking in all the splendor Mother Nature's paintbrush unleashes. I will most assuredly miss that wonderful, unfathomable beauty. However, I will not miss the chill that begins seeping into my bones around November, refusing to leave til June. I know Carolina winters are nothing compared to what those in say MI and IL will face, "the arctic tundra" as my Chicago friend affectionately terms it (I think he says it with affection, God knows I would be cursing it). Winter in the Carolinas is referred to as winter lite... and still I am ready and willing to run far, far away to escape the season's wrath. And now I can escape via this boat. So I will. Yay!

Fun is just a boat ride away |
For a few months now, we have been saying we would like to be in Bimini by Christmas. But now I'm not so sure. I am definitely excited about a different kind of Christmas; involving tropical breezes, pina coladas (instead of eggnog... well, maybe some eggnog too), and family all gathered round the lighted palm tree, with nothing left to listen to that would make any sense but a reggae Christmas album. So what could possibly be my hang up with Bimini, Bahamas for Christmas? Well, only that it's not St. Croix! Actually, we just haven't narrowed down where in the tropics we want to be for the holly-daze. Hope Santa can find our exhaust stacks wherever we are! We'll be sure to have some mango cookies and coconut milk set out for him, just in case.
mango cookies and coconut milk = yum
